Biological evolution has been at the core of many ideological debates ever since Darwinism was born. Today neo-Darwinist science is challenged by the modern-day representatives of opposition, under the name of "neo-creationism". Through the neologism of Intelligent Design neo-creationism attempts to revive the conflict between the creationism and evolution. Even now society's response to Darwin's scientific heritage is still largely based on the misinterpretation of his theory of evolution. This lecture, therefore, approaches the question through the philosophy of science. It clearly separates factual proofs of evolution that are independent of the theory, and the synthetic theory itself that attempts to link the various pieces of evidence. Dr. Kampis provides an overview of those groups of evidence that were mostly known by Darwin himself and those that open up numerous separate fields of science today. In addition to dispelling misconceptions linked to the theory of evolution, the lecture also highlights the structure of Darwinism, to make it clear that the doctrine of Intelligent Design and all other extra-disciplinary alternative explanations are disarmed in the light of a correct interpretation of Darwin's system of concepts.
