What is going on beneath the surface under the airport of Geneva and the Jura Mountains? Well, this is where the LHC, i.e. the Large Hadron Collider is located. It is the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator. It is here that scientists are trying to test physics’ latest hypotheses and find, for example, the Higgs-boson.
